How Wheat Flour Is Made: Step-by-Step Processing Guide

Many companies are looking for people who have experience in making flour from wheat. Hire them. In today’s article, I will explain in detail how flour is made from wheat so that you can also apply for this job easily.

Wheat flour is the staple food of more than half of the world’s population, meaning that it is the food that is consumed the most in the world. In today’s modern era, where we are facing immense challenges in the world, one of the biggest challenges is safe and healthy food.

With the help of modern technology, pure and organic wheat is processed in a state-of-the-art plant to produce flour, which is supplied all over the world. They say that tradition is not the same as innovation, meaning that if you make bread from their flour and eat it, not only will it taste delicious, but it will also have a special aroma of wheat. So, in today’s article, I will tell you how wheat is processed to produce flour.

The processing to deliver pure, hygienic, and safe food begins in their quality lab.

Quality Lab

Not only are all the extensive quality checks done here in detail, but interestingly, they also have an R&D lab where they produce new products, such as fortified flour, which contains various minerals. So, first of all, the raw material in the form of wheat grains is tested because a healthy wheat grain is a guarantee of good health, and for this, not only the nutrition of wheat, its size, color, how much protein it has, and how much density it has- all these things are tested on different machines. Its quality report comes out, and after that, if it meets their standards, then it is sent to the mill to be processed.

Here, not only is the wheat extensively quality-checked, but the flour that is produced after that is also checked on different, latest machines to see if it is in accordance with our standards, which are international hygiene standards.  We follow the standards whether we are making the same product or not; the flour is produced internally.

There is a whole baking section in which we also make the final product and see whether our consumer is getting the same thing that the Ultimate Whole Flour promises or not. So next, I will tell you how the wheat is processed inside the production unit and how the raw material is first of all, how its pre-cleaning process is done.

Pre-Cleaning

Flour

After approval from the quality lab, healthy wheat grains are put through a pre-cleaning process. There is a huge intake tower in which wheat grains are put, and in such a huge tower, on top of each floor, there are machines called bowlers that clean the wheat grains. So, whatever wheat grains are put into this intake tower, they go to the top floor through a pocket elevator, and there, with the help of a machine, their general contamination is removed.

Whatever wheat grains or soil grains are removed, all the general contamination is removed, and then this wheat is shifted to the lower tower, where there is another machine that removes all the foreign metal from what is there, and this thing is cleaned; any kind of metal is also left behind. After that, when the wheat comes to the next floor, there are different machines installed there; there are separator machines or some machines that clean it through air pressure.

What happens in this process is that any broken seeds or oversized seeds are removed, and according to international standards, their quality is checked in a lab; only a full-nutritional wheat grain of a specific size is grown again.

So after all the pre-cleaning processes, the clean wheat is shifted to big silos, which have such a large amount of clean and healthy wheat inside them, which is stocked as raw material. Interestingly, this entire process is done on the latest machine; there is no human intervention, and it cleans the wheat on each floor.

It automatically goes to the silos through pipes, and then from these same silos, the wheat or barley is automatically shifted to the processing unit for further processing, where it is then made into flour. Now, I will tell you how this process works.

Process Unit

So inside the processing plant, it is estimated that a very beautiful and modern plant is installed here. It is just a work of art of engineering. And now we can estimate that, for this reason, in some countries of the world, there are a few such plants in which wheat flour is being prepared with the latest technology, and for this reason the flour that comes out of here is very beneficial for our health. Literally, there is no human on this entire floor. Human intervention.

The entire process is being done automatically by machines. So I had told you that the wheat is cleaned by pre-cleaning, and the wheat that is there is then automatically shifted through the pipe. Inside this plant and in this plant, the cleaning stage is not over yet. The wheat is further processed. There is a machine here which is called a separator, and the small pebbles that remain are also removed from here because the machine, which is not a human, is a mold that defects according to calculation.

So all the stones that are there are removed from here too.  It is taken, and the stones are separated from the wheat grains in the mill. Now the clean wheat is then shifted into another machine, and here a process of aspiration takes place.

Aspiration process

Through the strong wind, not only the soil on the surface of the wheat grain is removed, but also the husk and whatever light material is removed. So the clean, nutritious, healthy wheat is shifted forward. And even though the wheat has not yet started to grow, its quality will be further checked. I will tell you how on the next floor.

After the test sorting, the clean wheat grains are passed through a Sortex machine. This is a color-sorting machine that is usually used for rice, but in the latest flour milling machine that is used by Sortex machinery, only golden wheat grains will pass through this machine. This means that if there is any discolored wheat grain or any black colored grain, then this machine will remove it. Next, only the healthy golden wheat grains rich in nutrition will go for grinding. Now, how is the grinding process done? I will tell you next.

After all the wheat is cleaned, its golden grains are shifted forward into the grinding section.

Grinding Section

There are a large number of machines installed here; they are called cold crushing grinding machines. In this, the wheat grains that are brought in are crushed into the smallest particles. Usually, when we go to any mill and grind the wheat grains, it immediately crushes them and puts them into the machine. The flour gets hot. What happens is that when the machine grinds very fast, all the nutrients that nature has kept in it are lost. But in this process, all the nutrients that are in the wheat grains are transferred to the flour because the flour is ground slowly.

Interestingly, there is no human involvement in this whole process. These machines run automatically. Any human who comes here is in a human environment. He only comes to take some samples for quality checks. The rest is left.  All these plants are operated from a control room. These are computerized machines that are run by software.

That is why there are no bacteria of any kind in this flour. It is prepared in a completely safe and hygienic environment. Then this clean, nutritious flour is shifted further to the packing section through a connected pipe. At the same time, they prepare a special type of fortified flour, in which many minerals and vitamins are added. I will tell you how it is prepared.

Fortified Flour Process

Fortified flour is prepared here: when the pure wheat flour is ready, it is sent for packaging. The other is the raw flour, which is sent to this section. Here too, with the help of machines, different types of zinc, iron, folate, and various vitamins are added to it. This fortified flour is made because it is important for the health of us and our children.

Their nutritional needs are increasing. Then this fortified flour is also sent to the packaging section automatically with the help of machines, where it is sealed in different packaging, and all the details are also added to it. Let me tell you about their packaging section, where they do the filling and then supply this flour.

Packaging Section

So when the pure healthy mill flour is prepared, which we showed you without any human intervention, it is prepared in the latest machines; then it finally reaches the packing section, interestingly on the ground floor, which is the entire processing unit. Here, just like a trickle-roll effect, the flour is cleaned from above and processed regularly and comes to the packing section. And just like all the processes in the latest machines, there is also a latest machine for packing, which packs this flour.

This is a sealing machine. On this side, a roll of export-quality packing sheet is kept. This machine takes it and gives it the shape of a bag. The pure, clean, and healthy flour is first filled inside this bag with the help of pipes. It is sealed, and a bag is prepared. So here, there are three different types, one is not only mill flour, but also white and super white flour. These are packed here in three different packages.  It is stacked and then supplied from here all over the world.

So, in today’s article, I told you in detail how flour is made from wheat.
